Out of Control

I need help getting back on track. I've been eating like crazy the past 3-4 weeks. Not counting calories, not exercising, not getting my protein in, not getting my vitamins in, not even feeling good about myself, and I don't know how to get back on track. I feel like a pathetic loser. People keep asking me how much I've lost and I've been saying 30 lbs. for what feels like forever! I don't want to fail!
I need help and I don't know where or who to turn to. I don't even know if I need a fill or not. Like I mentioned in my last blog, I get stuck with my first few bites, and then I can eat pretty normal! I don't feel restricted at all after those first few bites. Every night I say I'm going to call and make an appointment for a fill and in the morning I'm super restricted so I back out of it.
Please tell me I'm normal to be going through a regression............that I'm not the only one that has felt like a failure..........I need all the words and advice I can get at this point!

  1. Well, I can definitely tell you you're not the only one who's regressing :( unfortunately, we're in the same boat. I've been the same weight for about a month. It's terribly obnoxious. I wish I had advice for you, but my plan is just get back on track. I've been skipping my morning protein shakes and I think that's been a problem. Good luck to you though. Hopefully we can both get back to losing.

  2. Melissa, you are normal. Try to just have a protein shake in the morning; that is what I do and it helps the morning tightness. Then mid-morning I have a yogart. After that, the tightness is not that bad.
I suggest you call the doctor and discuss with him; maybe ask to talk to a nutrienist too.
You are not a failure at anything until you give up. So, dont' give up. Truxt me, I know how you feel.

  3. this is a tough time of the year. lots of temptations around! I just watch my signs (buying food that I know I shouldn't, snacking between meals, stress eating, etc) and go in for fills when I need to (even tiny fills). Stay with it, you can do it!

  4. I'm with you. I've been within the same 5 lbs since october. Frustrating. BUT I know I haven't been trying as hard as I can. So we can both get back on track together. :)

  6. There are so many going through EXACTLY what you're going through (raising my hand). I'd talk to your doc about a fill and see what he recommends. As for first bite syndrome, it sounds crazy but I heard someone got an adjustment from a chiropractor and didn't have that problem anymore (sounds crazy, I know). I've set New Year's as my last day of not caring. Starting Monday, I'm back on track and training for a 5k to keep me motivated. We all just need to recommit (I know this is easier said than done). ((HUGS))
